H'Sao

Montreal's afro-pop group H'Sao is a gospel band with groove. Originally from Chad, the six piece band fuses traditional African music with pop, R&B and a capella influences. The original members - the three Rimtobaye brothers and their sister - started jamming together in the early 90s when they couldn't even afford to buy instruments. Adding two band members to the mix, H'Sao made waves in the international francophone community playing shows in France and in Ottawa for the millenium Jeux de la Francophonie. Now based out of Montreal, the soulful band continues to excite audiences with their eclectic fusion of danceable African rhythms.
